This house is a sound experience,
which will be realised in March 2010
in a house in el barrio de Santa Lucia
Maracaibo - Venezuela.

El barrio de Santa Lucia is an area of low monetary resources,
but today regarded as one of the most popular neighbourhoods in the city.
Since 2001, this neighbourhood provides a platform for the meeting of curators and artists,
outside of the context of museums and galleries, making everyone of the houses in the Main
Street an exhibition space for Contemporary art.
La Velada de Santa Lucía is not only like a breath of fresh air for residents of the local
neighbourhood but also for the city as a whole. Over the years this exhibition has become
an International meeting point, enjoying the participation of curators and artists worldwide.

The sound house will be a space for the transmission and experimentation of sound art
during la Velada de Santa Lucia: a family home as a sound container.
All entries will be reproduced in a certain order in each space, so the public can
appreciate different sound atmospheres on a tour of the house.
There will be a total of 8 speakers (4 stereos) in the house
1 stereo living room
1 stereo room
1 stereo kitchen
1 stereo bath

this mail is an invitation to all sound artists, curators and sound researchers.
CONDITIONS:
1. We will accept:
* Sound pieces, electroacoustic music, field recordings, sound poetry, radio art and other variations. (Living room and kitchen)
* Lectures, speeches, interviews and opinions in Spanish or English on the topic of sound art, space and sound. (Room)
* Sound pool = Piscina de sonido, collection of free classification audio. (bath)
2. Maximum 3 sound works by Artist.
3. The works submitted must be playable without any restrictions. but is the case,
the author must: to express approval or disapproval for the promotion of sound works
through the official website of this project on the Internet.
REQUIREMENTS of the sound work and other theoretical recordings:
a. Name of the sound work.
b. Author's comments about the sound work. (Spanish or English)
c. Year of realization.
d. Short biography of the author. (Spanish or English)
e. The sound works should be NOT longer than twelve (12) minutes.
f. Sound files in. AIFF or. MP3 320 Kps (mono - stereo). In case of files larger than 25 MG, we recommend to open an Mydrive account http://www.mydrive.ch/ (for free) and send us an E-mail with User and Password to download the file(s).
REQUIREMENTS of the sound pool = piscina de sonido:
a. Author's name.
b. Free Commentary about the sound recording.
c. The sound works should be NOT longer than twelve (12) minutes.
